The Enchanted Valley is covered by stones from the last eruption of the Cotopaxi volcano. The Pita River runs through this canyon, and along its path, you can appreciate the local vegetation such as chuquiraguas, pumamaquis, romerillo, mortiño, and capulí. It is also home to curiquingues, páramo wolves, the Andean condor, which is rarely seen, the spectacled bear, hummingbirds, wild rabbits, white-tailed deer, llamas, Andean foxes, and wild horses, among others. 💡Curiosities: The Pita River is one of the rivers that provides the drinking water consumed in Quito.
