Known as the national water park, it includes the area of the snow-capped Cayambe volcano and the headwaters of the Coca River. It covers the entire route of water from its rainforests and cloud forests, wetlands and lagoons of the highlands, to the moorland pads where the rivers that form dazzling waterfalls are born. Some of its water sources are thermal and mineral springs such as those of Papallacta and Oyacachi. 💡Curiosities: Its rivers feed the Aguarico which, together with the Coca, carries its waters to the great Napo River, in the Amazon, and to the Mira and Esmeraldas rivers that flow into the Pacific Ocean.
