Puntilla de Santa Elena Wildlife Production Reserve

La Puntilla, as it is also known, is the westernmost point of the continental coast of South America. It comprises 52,231 hectares of marine environment and a small terrestrial area of 203 hectares corresponding to beaches, cliffs and rocky areas where the waves hit. In addition, it is home to a great diversity of coastal ecosystems, including mangroves, beaches and wetlands, which are home to species of birds, reptiles and marine mammals such as humpback whales. 💡Curiosities: Water sports such as surfing, kayaking and snorkeling are allowed here.
