Antisana National Park

Antisana National Park, located in the Ecuadorian Andes, combines abundant wildlife with captivating landscapes full of paramos, lagoons, glaciers and polylepis forests. With its majestic Antisana volcano as a backdrop, it is ideal for hiking and trekking to explore the park's diverse ecosystems, take magnificent scenic photographs and practice hiking. It is also a sanctuary for different species of animals such as the enigmatic Andean condor, the Andean bear and the paramo wolf. 💡Curiosities: Volcanic activity, the passage and retreat of glaciers and evolution have created truly impressive landscapes in its territory. The Laguna de la Mica, where part of the water of the city of Quito comes from, acts as a mirror on the imposing volcano. Apart from the lagoon, in the rainy season, seasonal lagoons such as Santa Lucia or Mauca Machay are formed.
