Cuyabeno Wildlife Production Reserve

The Cuyabeno Fauna Production Reserve is part of the forest heritage. Cuyabeno is internationally recognized for its extraordinary biological and cultural richness. Until the end of 2002, Ecuador had the highest diversity of trees per hectare: 1,561 trees of 473 species, 187 genera and 54 families. The faunal diversity is exceptional: 493 species of birds, 165 species of mammals, 91 species of reptiles, 96 species of amphibians and 475 species of fish. 💡Curiosities: The reserve is inhabited by 5 indigenous peoples: Siona, Secoya, Shuar, Quichua and Cofán.
