In the middle of the sea northwest of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno is León Dormido, formed by two rocks about 148 m high. Between the rocks, a channel is formed with optimal conditions for swimming, diving, snorkeling, and observing species such as blue-footed boobies, masked boobies, frigatebirds, pelicans, and sea lions. In the sea, you can observe Galapagos sharks, hammerhead sharks, blacktip sharks, sea turtles, eagle rays, and many tropical fish. 💡Curiosities: It gets its name because its silhouette closely resembles a sleeping lion.
