The Ingapirca Archaeological Complex is the most important and best-preserved pre-Hispanic monument in Ecuador. In Quechua, its name means "Inca wall," a symbol of Inca dominance before the Spanish conquest in America. It is composed of several components such as: Pilaloma, Temple of the Sun, La Condamine, La Vaguada, Ingachungana, La Tortuga, Intihuayco, the Face of the Inca, and the Barranco Staircase. Additionally, it features a Site Museum, which consists of 3 rooms. 💡Curiosities: In the Ingapirca Archaeological Complex, the coexistence of the Cañari and Inca cultures gave rise to a rich blend of traditions, evidenced by the numerous archaeological remains found. The complex displays more than 150 pieces discovered in the area, including textiles, ceramics, and jewelry.
